Caring for You Through the Holidays!

No one wants to think about a dental emergency during this festive season, but we want you to be prepared if an emergency should arise.

If a tooth is knocked out: first, locate the tooth. Hold it by the crown (not by the roots) and rinse it if it’s dirty. Do not scrub it. Place it in a glass of milk or water, if possible, and contact your dental office immediately.

If you are traveling, seek out a nearby dental office. Knocked-out teeth that have the highest chances of being saved are those seen by a dentist and returned to their socket within one hour of being knocked out.

If a tooth is chipped: first, save any broken pieces. Rinse with warm water. If there is bleeding, apply pressure to the area with clean gauze until it stops, and come to our office as quickly as possible. Remember, we are here for you!
