Wisdom Teeth Information

Posted .

After oral surgery, either to remove wisdom teeth or another procedure, Dr. Petrusha and Dr. Selasky recommend eating a diet of soft foods and to avoid hot or cold temperatures in foods and beverages. We recommend foods such as mashed potatoes, pudding, and applesauce. Patients need to remain eating soft foods for approximately a week or two after surgery. When you begin to feel like chewing food, start back slowly, and remember the healing time can take up to 3-4 weeks, as long as there are no complications. If you are uncomfortable, do not hesitate to contact our office.  We strive to make our patients comfortable and can help you with pain management if necessary.
