Oral Cancer Awareness

Posted .

April is Oral Cancer Awareness Month, and our team is participating in spreading the word about the importance of regular dental check-ups, as they often serve as early screenings for oral cancer. During your regular check-up and cleaning, our trained and experienced team will look for areas that may be in the early signs of oral cancer.  Though oral cancer is diagnosed more frequently in Caucasian males over 40, any age, race or gender can be at risk. If it has been awhile since your last dental check-up, call us today to schedule your appointment! When you delay your visits, your oral health could be at stake, especially if you use tobacco or drink alcohol. We love to help our family of patients live healthier lifestyles, and being proactive in the fight against oral cancer is a passion of ours. Let us know of your risk factors, and if you have had mouth sores that have not healed quickly.
