We understand some of the words and terms we use in our office might be confusing to you and your family. This month we are focusing on a few of those terms and definitions so you will have a better understanding of dental terminology.
Sensitive teeth
Sensitive teeth literally means your teeth are sensitive to temperature changes in your mouth. Drinking hot or cold beverages can cause painful or uncomfortable sensations in your teeth. This is a common concern among adults and can be managed with special toothpaste which can treat the nerves of the teeth. However, if the pain continues after using the toothpaste, it can be a sign of a more serious problem. If you suffer from sensitive teeth, contact our office today for treatment. We are glad to help you with your sensitive teeth so that you can enjoy your food and beverages at the temperatures you prefer them to be!
