Proper tooth brushing is one of the best habits you can do for your overall health. The average person only brushes their teeth for only 60 to 90 seconds. To brush your teeth correctly, set aside a full two minutes. That’s right! During that time, angle your toothbrush toward the gums and gently brush in a circular motion. Be sure to brush the insides surfaces of your teeth, the chewing surfaces and your tongue.
Brush your teeth a minimum of twice daily. Ideally, brush your teeth after each meal or a minimum of twice daily. Ensure you do not scrub but brush in the above-mentioned technique. Also, ensure you use a soft or ultra-soft toothbrush. Scrubbing too hard or using too stiff of a toothbrush can wear away teeth’s enamel. Brushing correctly each day will reduce bacteria and ultimately prolong the life of your teeth. We think that is worth smiling about!
